CROWDFUNDING for Amina’s new album recording “Flying High Above”
Amina Figarova with her celebrated sextet, will be recording this new album with brand-new music from her upcoming album “Flying High Above”, including the Havana Suite inspired by her trip to Cuba in January 2025.
The last week of January 2026, Amina performed with her Cuban sextet PLUS at the Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana and Santa Clara, Cuba. And recorded the Havana Suite on February 1 at the Abdala Studio in Havana, with all Cuban musicians: Oliver Valdez – drums; Adel Gonzalez; Emir Santa Cruz; Yasek Manzano; Raul Reyes; Bart Platteau, Juan Carlos Marin and Amina.
On March 1, 2026, Amina will be recording at the Samurai Studios in New York City with her sextet with Alex Pope Norris – Trumpet; Troy Roberts – tenorsax; Yasushi Nakamura – bass; Rudy Royston – drums, Bart Platteau – flutes, and Amina.
Besides the recording, we will need also mixing, mastering, the pressing of the LP’s, publicity campaign, etc…. all help is welcome and very appreciated.
